WHAT WE SAY
Named after an iconic and to be fair, a bit infamous, Swedish cigarette brand, Gula Blend quickly made a name for themselves as one of Sweden's most energetic live bands, playing frequently on the Malmö scene. The project was started by Jesper Pettersson in 2019 and ever since members have come and gone with Jesper being the constant. With their melodic, garage-tinged, indie rock Gula Blend treat the crude everyday life, good and bad relations and the simple art form of procrastinating one's well-being. We met the band in person for the very first time on Rama Lama island when they were set to play our fourth birthday party and instantly felt it was a match made in heaven. Gula Blend have a grand DIY-sound well rooted within a Swedish indie tradition and at the same time adding new and revitalizing classic elements.
